Sutton-In-Ashfield Business Wins Major Award
30 September 2013
Motorists in and around Sutton-in-Ashfield voted a local vehicle repairer to one of the UK’s most prestigious awards.
Fix Auto Sutton-in-Ashfield in Hardwick Lane was awarded the coveted Consumer’s Choice prize by Bodyshop magazine during its 17th annual glitzy ceremony held in Birmingham on Friday.
Owned and managed by local businessman Steve Cook, the Fix Auto centre is one of the smallest, in terms of workshop size, within the Fix Auto UK network of 65 repair centres.
However, as Mr Cook and his team have proven, they more than “punch above their weight” in terms of workmanship, expertise and customer satisfaction by fending off repair centres more than treble their size for the top prize.
Commenting on his prize, Mr Cook said: “To say I’m overwhelmed at winning the award is an understatement. It goes to show just what you can achieve with the right team around you. I have always said that I’ve never wanted my repair centre to be the biggest in the business, just the best and thanks to the support and guidance I have received since joining the Fix Auto UK network, we can now safely say we are, the best in the business.”
Ian Pugh, Managing Director Fix Auto UK, said: “Steve and his team at Fix Auto Sutton-in-Ashfield are a true testament to exactly what we are trying to achieve in the car repair industry. He joined our network after many years of operating on his own, successfully doing what they do best, repairing vehicles. However, our guidance and helped to raise their game to a whole new level which has clearly been reflected in their truly top honour. My congratulations go out to all involved.”
